Who we are

The point of a pub is sitting in it.

Not a theme, not a concept, not a destination. A room with a fire, a decent pint, somewhere to put your glass down, and staff who notice when you are ready for another one.

Public house & bar. Public houses and bars. (SIC 56302)
Licensed. Alcohol sold to over-18s only, within our licensed hours.
Challenge 25. If you look under 25 we will ask for photographic ID.
Not drinking? A proper choice of alcohol-free and soft drinks, not an afterthought.

What's on

Cask Ale & Keg

A short, well-kept selection rather than a long one nobody gets through. Lines cleaned on schedule.

Alcohol-Free & Soft Drinks

A real choice for anyone not drinking — driving, pregnant, or simply not in the mood.

Tea & Coffee

Served all day, because a pub is also somewhere to sit in the afternoon.

Function Room

The room, or part of it, for a wake, a birthday or a meeting — arranged directly with us.

What's On

Quiz nights and the regular fixtures in the calendar, posted inside and on request.
